six-month countdown to the opening of Expo 2025 Osaka Kansai was celebrated on
13 October with the launch of paper ticket sales and the events in Osaka, Tokyo
and elsewhere. To mark the occasion, Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba issued a
video message and Expo 2005 Aichi mascots Morizo and Kiccoro ceremoniously
passed on the baton to Myaku-Myaku. (The Japan News)
